The Best Of Porto 2019 Poll Results Are In

Ladies and Gents – we’re at it again!

After the buzz gathered around our 2018 edition (the very first), we’re back for our second ever reader poll and for the ultimate opportunity for our readers’ voices to be heard. Once again, 150+ categories were put under scrutiny and you guys did not disappoint us! 9660 was the magic number. 9660 brave voters who did not pass on this opportunity to nominate the absolute best eateries, bars, shops, hotels and personalities our city has to offer.

Following last year’s pattern, the results once again showed our public’s beautiful diversity. Different preferences, different habits and different backgrounds, all of which shined through all the contrasting places who’ve managed to secure a top stop among our wide array of subcategories for 2019. But don’t take our word for it – just look at the results! We have a Mexican restaurant owner – Sol Calvillo from Frida – voted as Best Chef; an alternative, LGBTQ+ friendly, cultural intervention organization voted as Best Bar (Maus Hábitos); and a Top 10 Best New Restaurants list with at least 4 international entries! Great cities have always been populated with diverse people from all walks of life, and judging by these results, our already amazing city is just getting better!

Finally, we would like to end our introduction by sending a special thank you note to our readers who took the time to cast their vote, and to all those who helped spread the word by promoting this initiative. Last, but certainly not least, we congratulate all the winners of the 2019 Best of Porto Poll! Last year, we finished this note by claiming that “all of you stand as an extremely important link in the community which, as a whole, helps make Porto a can’t-miss world famous destination and an endearing city for both locals and visitors alike.”

One year later, these words have never been truer.
