Jazz no Parque

Every Saturday during the month of July you can spend sunset hour listening to some jazz at the beautiful gardens of Serralves. The event will usually start at around 6 pm with performers that include Pedro Melo Alves’ in igma, Fail Better! & Théo Ceccaldiand Ácidos & About Angels and Animals. Sounds like the perfect plan for a chill afternoon!

Festival CidadeMais

Cidade Mais is a yearly festival which revolves around sustainability and the environment. The goal is to increase urban culture around environmental sustainability by creating synergies between citizens and projects. The diverse programme includes conferences, workshops, a market, plus performances and concerts.

First Steps

First steps focus on hip hop culture and its key elements: breakdance, djing, graffiti and beatboxing. This edition plans to encourage younger generations to learn more about this culture through classes, competitions and spaces where to showcase their work. During the event, you will also have the chance to take a tour through Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis. The funds raised during the event will be given to the project Cica Giro.

Meo Marés Vivas

Meo Marés Vivas is one of the July events you definitely can’t miss.
The line-up this year includes iconic bands and also newcomers that plan to show the audience what they’ve got. With the Douro River as the background, this is the perfect scenario to see Sting, Keane or Snow Patrol live while holding a nice cold beer and celebrating Summer. One of the highlights of the festival are Ornatos Violeta, a band from Porto that was the soundtrack of a generation and that is now coming back for some exclusive performances. Elétrico Festival

Elétrico Festival is coming back for its second edition after a fantastic debut last year. As it takes place at Parque da Pasteleira, the event creates the perfect harmony between nature and culture through music, art and technology. The line-up includes some well-known names from the electronic music scene like Apollonia, Janus Rasmussen (Kiasmos), Moodymann or Matthew Herbert. The festival will also have mindfulness areas and meditative concerts, all so that you can control your thoughts, align your chakras and enjoy every performance to its fullest. Unite with Tomorrowland

Fans were definitely proud once it was announced that amongst other cities like Athens or Malta, Porto would be hosting Tomorrowland. The magical event with extravagant scenarios will take place at Parque Oriental do Porto and it will include live performances plus the live streaming of the main event in Belgium. The line-up includes both national and international djs like Martin Solveig and Robin Schulz and the genres vary from house and techno to hardstyle.
