HERE ARE 3 RECENTLY OPEN FINE DINING RESTAURANTS IN PORTO YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY VISIT
IN DIFERENTE

Now here’s a restaurant whose name stands as a complete antithesis to their customer’s experience (we do know our figures of speech here at OportoBlog). As such, no one has ever dined at IN Diferente and left feeling… indifferent! Located in Foz do Douro, this fine dining restaurant will set you on a gastronomic trip around the country, offering innovative contemporary dishes which draw inspiration from the more traditional and down-to-earth local originals. Ever had a meat dish so tender you could cut it with a spoon? Then give it a go at their Lamb Shoulder Blade (28€) and you can thank us later! IN Diferente is open from Tuesday to Sunday during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (7h30pm-11pm) times.
PREAMAR SUPPERCLUB

If exclusiveness is what you’re seeking, hold on tight because things don’t get any better than this! After all, it’s not every day that a Chef opens for you the doors to his very own house for a meal! Featuring one single communal table seating no more than 12 guests, booking ahead is absolutely mandatory in case you’re planning on having dinner at Preamar. The extra effort does pay off though, because what awaits you is a sophisticated 6-course menu (55€), which includes a welcome drink, water, coffee and some petit-fours to cap off your meal on a sweet note. Preamar Supperclub accepts reservations for dinners taking place from Wednesday to Saturday, between 7pm and midnight.

RESTAURANTE ROGÉRIO DO REDONDO

Rogério do Redondo… kinda sounds like a fashion boutique store, but it’s actually the city’s latest fine dining restaurant! In fact, the word “latest” doesn’t really do it justice – this is more of a redux – as this once iconic restaurant is finally back in business after closing down in 2015. How iconic is it, do you ask? Well, let’s just say this was the first restaurant Anthony Bourdain chose to visit when he filmed in Portugal! Despite the renovated dining room and new décor, the restaurant’s essence and concept remain the same. Authentic Portuguese dishes, professional staff and unpretentious (even if it’s fine-dining) service – you couldn’t ask for a better experience! Rogério do Redondo is open from Tuesday to Saturday during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (8pm-10h30pm) times.
