Tour Porto: 6 different ways across land and air
Bus

With Yellow Bus, you have three circuits to tour Porto: Yellow City Cruises, Porto Premium 3 in 1 and Porto Vintage. The most interesting one is a 2 day ticket that includes the hop on hop off bus between landmarks, a cruise on the river across the bridges that connect Porto and Gaia and a visit at Cálem cellars. For the price of 28€ per adult, it’s a very good deal. You can book the tickets online (with a 10% discount) or at the tourism stands in the city. They are fairly easy to come across, especially at Aliados, Ribeira and Cais de Gaia.

A more affordable option: BlueBus has a 24 hour ticket, for 15€ per adult or 18€, including a boat ride (online tickets). Like Yellow Bus, the buses are equipped with audio guides in several languages. They have many drop-off stops, and the bus frequency is every 30 minutes. Tuk Tuk

A fun intimate way to tour Porto is the tuk tuk. Completely electric vehicles, they ride across Porto, Matosinhos and Vila Nova de Gaia. You have several tours available (website). One of the most interesting is Porto Baroque, that dives into the historic centre, providing a sightseeing visit of baroque style buildings like Torre dos Clérigos and São Bento Station (Tour’s page). They happen between 9am and 6pm, the price is 20€ per person with a duration of 1h30m. You can book them online, by phone or e-mail. Each TukTuk transports 4 people, but you can book more than one, in case your traveling group is larger.

Segway

If you’re looking for something a little different, why not tour Porto on a segway? You can spend about 3 hours discovering different aspects of the city in a unique way. We recommend the Purple Tour – a night ride! For 1 or 2 people, at the cost of 110€, it has the duration of 1h30m. Starting at 7pm, it gives you the chance of having the typical touristic Porto circuit, but by night. A whole new world. They are flexible when it comes to meeting points and drop offs. Walking

Porto is one of the best cities to discover while walking. Its unique charm is set in the stone of the buildings and in people’s faces. So this might be one of the best options to tour Porto if you’re looking for an authentic experience. Porto Walkers have different tours, but the classic one (available in english and spanish) is a good choice. It takes about 3 hours, you need to check the schedule and register.
