Here are probably the best sneaker shops in Porto
WRONG WEATHER

Let’s start with something fancy, shall we? Located along the exclusive Avenida da Boavista, the biggest boulevard in the country, Wrong Weather is an award-winning men’s clothing shop that caters to a more upscale audience. Their curated sneaker selection includes collections from household names such as Raff Simons or Kenzo, and models as unorthodox as the popular Yeezy, designed by global star Kanye West (don’t worry, no Kardashian included in the deal). The shop is open every day except Sunday, between 10am and 7h30pm.

SPORTINO

Sportino gets the title of the most original sneakers shop on our list, and once you check its vault-based interior design you will immediately understand why. Now that we think of it, the theme does make sense as the collections inside are indeed a real treasure (cringey pun intended). Located on Rua de Santa Catarina, Porto’s most prolific shopping street, it relies on models from famous commercial brands such as Adidas, Converse or Vans in order to stand up to such fierce competition. Sportino is also open every day except Sunday, between 10am and 7h30pm.

XTREME

Remember the competition we just mentioned? Here’s yet another amazing sneaker shop located on Rua de Santa Catarina! At Xtreme Porto the best of both worlds is indeed possible. Not only will you find the most exclusive fashion brands such as Puma XO (yes, the one designed by The Weekend himself), but you’ll also have access to an extensive collection of sports sneakers aimed both at the crossfit maniac (Reebok Crossfit Nano) and the tireless jogger (Adidas Ultra Boost). Unlike our previous entries, this shop is actually open every Sunday afternoon between 2h30pm and 7h30pm. On any other day, its working schedule is set between 10am and 8pm.

BAZAR DESPORTIVO

This shop’s name might be translated as sports bazaar, but don’t let yourself be deceived by its name. First of all, this isn’t an outdoor market with a middle-eastern twist, neither does it privilege sports items over trendier sneakers. In fact, with an extensive selection of brands as fashionable as Fred Perry or Le Coq Sportif, it provides a very healthy mix of styles that will help assuring you will find what you came for. Besides its main store, also located in Rua de Santa Catarina, Bazar Desportivo also has an outlet space in case you’re running on a tighter budget. Both stores are open from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 7h30pm.

WAIMEA SURF & CULTURE

Located near the beach in the seaside district of Matosinhos, Waimea is the place to go for lovers of all things extreme. Even though this shop sells a huge variety of items aimed at those who surf and skateboard, its sneakers’ collection is one that must not be overlooked. Displaying a wide selection from brands popular in the action sport’s community for their comfort and informal style, this is the best sneaker shop in Matosinhos (and one of the best in Porto) to buy DC, Reef or New Balance.
