Throughout the entire month of July, our readers had all the power in their hands, as we had the pleasure of surveying thousands of fans, friends and followers with one goal in mind: to get the best recommendations, reviews and local hotspots in and around Porto. The end result was staggering, and we were blown away by the sheer amount of voters who enjoyed the opportunity for their voices to be heard.

For the very first time, the city saw a poll which covered over 150 different categories! From the best places to grab an authentic bite to hotspots perfect for raising a glass (or two), to must-see, must-try and must-experience locations and activities spanning nightlife, music, services and hospitality – nothing escaped our reader’s thorough evaluation!

We invite you to take a look at the results and check out just how eclectic and diverse our audience and our city can be. If some results fit into what we were expecting – such as Santiago winning Best Francesinha or Livraria Lello taking home the Best Bookstore – others hit us right out of the blue (we’re looking at you Fixebowl!), but that is exactly what makes this kind of innovative experience such an interesting, and dare we say important, one.
