We have some pretty interesting results to share about Nightlife. First, looks like the city residents are making a stand, keen on showing the rest of the world how we are so much more than port wine. Case in point: Best Drink. Against all odds, Gin & Tonic proved to be our voters best-loved drink and ended up beating the all-time local favourite port wine!
However, when looking at the overall Nightlife results, one name clearly stands out from all the others. Maus Hábitos, Maus Hábitos, Maus Hábitos, Maus Hábitos. This cultural intervention venue simply hit it out the park and reclaimed 4 (!) different awards, more than any other place or trend in any other category! Such honours included Best Nightclub, Best Underground Venue, Best Pick-up Spot and Best LGBT Club/Bar.
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to congratulate Espaço 77. A beacon of Porto’s student community for its atmosphere, drunk foods and cheap (and we mean really cheap) beer, this small bar/café won Best Dive Bar and Best Bartender for Vitorino Medeiros – the owner’s uncle. More than technical skills, our readers definitely went for sympathy and authenticity for this one!
