The people have spoken!
The first ever Best of Porto poll is closed, all the votes were counted and we finally have the official results for you!
For an entire month the ball was in our reader’s court, and after looking into the sheer amount of votes, we can affirmatively state that you surely didn’t pass on this opportunity of having your voice heard. However, this wasn’t just your regular run-of-the-mill poll (oh, no!), this was the biggest, broadest, most complete survey the city has ever seen, with over 150 different categories up to the discussion of our thousands of voters.
We invite you to take a look at the results and check out just how eclectic and diverse our audience and our city can be. Some results fit into what we were expecting – such as Santiago winning Best Francesinha or Livraria Lello taking home the Best Bookstore – others hit us by surprise (we’re looking at you Fixebowl!), but that is exactly what makes this kind of innovative experience such an interesting, and dare we say important, one.
Be that as it may, there’s more to the city than amazing restaurants and beautiful places where to buy a book (though that would pretty much be enough to convince you to book your flight right away), which is why you should check our poll to discover the best art galleries, get acquainted with the top sights, and find out the most useful and innovative services the city can provide to both tourists and locals alike. If you truly want to know the city, checking our results is a must!
So that’s it guys – if you took the time to answer all our questions and cast your vote, then now is the time to reap the fruits of your hard labour. If you didn’t have the chance to vote (shame on you!), rest assured you can still see the results of the biggest-ever poll, ever conducted in the city of Porto – for we are generous! In case you’re interest in some categories in particular, you can check the results on the webpage “2018 READER POLL”, accessible through our navigation menu or by clicking on the categories below:
It’s time for you to speak your mind again! What did you think of the results? Any surprises in particular? What would you like to see for the 2019 version? Let us know on the comments section!
