The traditional Portuguese croissant has a brioche, buttery dough in order to guarantee they are fluffy on the inside but with a light, sweet crust on the outside. They are perfect for breakfast, lunch or…just whenever your heart desires. Trust us, once you admire them from the display window, you’ll know you are in for a treat.
Here are six places with Portuguese croissants
Padaria Ribeiro

Padaria Ribeiro opened back in 1878 and they still keep the same traditions especially when it comes to the artisanal way of preparing their products. The pastries are all prepared on the spot, so you can always feel the smell of freshly baked desserts and bread.
Luckily for us, they have several establishments around Porto, so you can always satisfy your cravings when you are in desperate need for a croissant. You can have it plain, with chocolate filling or like good ol’ Portuguese tradition suggests: slightly toasted with cheese or ham and cheese.
Check their website for more information on their products (in Portuguese only) or their Facebook page.
