Five Absolute Best Steakhouses In Porto You Need To Try

Carnivores rejoice! It’s time to pull out your knives, as we’re laying down a brand new list with some of the best steakhouses in Porto. If you’re one of those foodies whose mouth starts instantly drooling at the sight of a prime steak so tender you can cut it with a butter knife, then we have the impression that you’re going to like this one!

HERE ARE 5 OF THE BEST STEAKHOUSES IN PORTO:

CERVEJARIA BRASÃO

Though famous for its much appreciated Francesinha recipe, this famous steakhouse also offers some of the juiciest and most delicious meat cuts in Porto. Make no mistake, although there are a couple of options on the menu suited for your vegetarian friend, he/she will definitely feel like an outsider at Brasão. Here, meat is King – and a pretty powerful one for that matter (unlike that numb kiddo Bran Stark)! That being said, you might wanna cut straight to the cheese (sorry…) and try their signature “Steak and Cheese sauce”, made with authentic Portuguese DOP product! Cervejaria Brasão is open every day during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (7pm-11h30pm) times.

MUU STEAKHOUSE

Metal chains, leather aprons and industrial brick walls… this could the set for the newest Rammstein music video, but it’s actually one of the city’s most popular steakhouses! With limited seating capacity and an exclusive menu (only 6 grilled cuts as meat mains), MUU focuses on providing customers a rather personal experience and – of course – steaks to die for! Feeling their T-Bone (52€ for 2) literally melting in your mouth is almost orgasmic, and it’s so tender you will almost be able to forget it’s dry aged! MUU Steakhouse is open every day, but only for dinner, between 7pm and midnight.

K.O.B by OLIVIER

When a restaurant has the preposition “by” in its name, then you know you’re in for something reeeeeally fancy! Well, K.O.B is most certainly not an exception to this rule, being one of the few steakhouses in the city with wagyu beef on the menu. Yeah, this is the beef that comes from cows who are fed beer and given massages all day long (or so they say) – definitely proof that not even all cows are born equal! Still, and even if you can’t afford to splash 180€ on a single steak (even if it’s the best steak in the world), you can always make use of their executive lunch menu, with two starters, a juicy steak, a side dish and dessert available for 16€. Bringing some power back to the working class cows! K.O.B is open every day during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (7h30pm-midnight) times.

TERMINAL 4450

All aboard meat lovers! Located inside a former cruise port’s passenger terminal in Matosinhos, our next steakhouse is definitely one of the most stylish places on this list, with multiple wooden elements and big community tables that will have you thinking you might have just entered a shipbuilding dock. Although their full menu is displayed on a big board reminiscent of an old public transport timetable, there is no doubt about what they’re trying to highlight here – mouth-watering beef! In fact, as soon you walk in you’ll be greeted and given a special meat-only menu that will serve as your passport to slobber-land. Oh, and we’re taking the “passport” bit quite literally – don’t worry, you’ll understand it when you visit! Terminal 4450 is open from Tuesday to Saturday during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (7h30pm-11pm) times.

NOGUEIRA’S PORTO

Time to go out with a bang and introduce you to the biggest steakhouse on our list! Owned by a prominent family in the industry whose restaurants have been around since the 90’s, size does matter at Nogueira’s Porto. Don’t believe us? Then check out their signature Legendary Tomahawk and prepare yourself to watch a humongous meal unfold in front of your eyes. We’re talking about a beef cut weighing roughly 1kg (or 2lbs for you Americans with your weird-ass Imperial System), so you better sign off a waiver and say goodbye to your loved ones before taking on this outrageous mission. It was nice meeting you! Nogueira’s Porto is open every day during lunch (noon-3pm) and dinner (8pm-11pm) times.
