Budda Power Blues Concert

Where: Hot Five Jazz & Blues Club 

When: August 4th, 11 p.m.

How much: 5€

Regarded as one of the best Blues band in Portugal, Budda Power Blues will be performing in the jazz club Hot Five on the first Saturday night of August. Going to concerts on Hot Five is one of those cool things to do in Porto. Be sure to book a table for this vibrant concert that will keep you up beat for its entire length.

Pôr do Sol nas Virtudes

When: August 3rd, 7 p.m.

How much: Free

Start the month by enjoying the sunset in one of the most privileged views of the city, at Jardim das Virtudes. With live music performances by Australian Will Guthrie and Portuguese David Maranha, this is an ongoing event that’s been considered one of the coolest things to do in Porto, and a great way to start your Friday night in the city.

NeoPop Electronic Music Festival

Where: Forte Santiago da Barra (Viana do Costelo)

When: August 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th

How much: 60€, although the prices vary according to how many days you’re going to the festival, and whether or not you want VIP access.

Even though the Festival is happening in Viana do Castelo, it wouldn’t be fair to not mention it, since you can get to Viana in less than an hour from Porto, either by car or train. And this is a festival worth the visit. With dozens of DJs lined-up for 4 nights of music, NeoPop is the perfect place for techno lovers to have a night full of electronic beats.

Live Music at Mirajazz

How much: Entrance is usually free

Enjoy jazzy concerts at Mirajazz, a welcoming bar with a view over the Douro. They host musicians on the weekends and on Wednesdays too, bringing you fresh artists, nice beverages, and spectacular snacks for you to appreciate over a fantastic sunset view.

International Mojito Festival

International Mojito Festival is an event that happens in dozens of cities at the same time, and Porto is one of them. Are you wondering how this works? Well, you buy your pass online, which allows you to drink Mojitos with at least a 30% discount during the event. A Place to Bury Strangers Concert
