The building, which dates from the year 1900, may have been renovated, but you can still find many details from its original structure inside the apartments, such as the magnificent stone walls, which are then cleverly blended with modern decoration elements. Inside each apartment, which can fit a party of four, you’ll find a kitchen equipped with an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and induction hot plates. Average rent prices range between 85€-90€/night, but if these apartments caught your eye, then you can enjoy a 10% discount if you mention Oporto Blog to the host before you book the place.
RIBEIRA HISTORIC APARTMENTS
Owned by the same company which runs the aforementioned apartments in Rua de Santa Catarina, the Ribeira Historic Apartments is yet another lovely set of apartments which were built inside a historic building with a privileged location; just a short walk away from the riverfront. Once again, you will be welcomed by the wonderful Rebecca, a former English teacher from Lisbon! As for the apartments, each one can fit 3 people, and in some of them you will see their original intricate Art Nouveau ceilings. The only exception is the popular apartment 51, made up of two smaller apartments, which can fit 4 people at once and has one of the best views you will ever find in Porto! PORTO TROPICAL CHARM

The next gem we found on Airbnb in Porto, is located in Rua do Bonjardim, a central yet more secluded area, just 2 minutes away from Avenida dos Aliados. The Tropical Urban Art consists of 2 different apartments which are managed by a lovely elderly couple who will make you feel right at home. Both apartments can fit 4 people, come with a fully equipped kitchen and are decorated with travel messages hanging on the walls. However, the most impressive element in the apartments is the big mural painted by local artist Mr. Dheo, a legend in Porto’s graffiti scene. The apartments can be rented for 65€ or 100€, depending on whether you’re visiting the city in high or low season, and, once again, you can benefit of a 10% discount if you mention Oporto Blog to the host before you book the place!
THE RIVER FLAT

If you’re looking for a more peaceful and less touristy experience in Porto, we recommend checking into The River Flat, an apartment built inside the premises of an old distillery. Located right on the riverbanks near the Arrábida Bridge, its location allows you to be near the city’s downtown, while at the same time staying in a more secluded and intimate area. For that reason, this is the perfect place for you to stay if you’re thinking of renting a car, as the rate (250€-350€, depending on the season) also includes two parking spots in a private garage. As for the apartment itself, it’s outstandingly modern, has 3 rooms, 3 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, and is able to accommodate 6 to 7 people. All of this would be enough to make your stay memorable, but once you check the views from the apartment’s balconies and terrace gardens, you will fall in love with this place!
