Early Cedofeita

Early Cedofeita is a project plotted by the same brother and sister that have been reshaping Cedofeita, first with Rosa et al townhouse, and then with the clothing shop Early Made. Now was the time to grow their already successful brunch in Porto (their townhouse’s) into a coffee shop of its own. This new venue is a haven for both the architecture and design nerds, and also for the slow food aficionado, so why not be both? The interior pays great attention to design, showcasing simple retro Scandinavian details and warm colors, and a menu that features sourdough bread, homemade pound cakes, specialty coffee, many teas, and homemade sodas. Sustainable food is a priority in the menu, which also includes vegan and vegetarian options. Lunch specials are available and renewed weekly. Whenever you need to hold a private event, Early also benefits from a space for such a purpose.

Tapisco Porto
***Permanently closed as of June 2020***
Tapisco is a recent brainchild of chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, who was recently awarded a second Michelin star (for Alma, in Lisbon). At Tapisco, the purpose is simple: to serve the best approach to Portuguese petiscos and Spanish tapas, with a special focus on vermouth. The menu balances dishes of both cultures, showcasing some of the classics like octopus with paprika, amêijoas à Bulhão Pato (special clams), fried sepia, tortilla, huevos rotos (fried eggs), paellas, arroz de marisco (seafood rice), tripas à moda do Porto (tripe and bean stew), and a section of grilled meats and seafood. Tapisco is definitely one of the best choices out there for a high-end combo of petiscos and tapas.
