Barracuda apresenta: The Twist Connection

Brace yourselves, there’s a new rock club in town!
Barracuda recently opened to bring some music into the city (the loud kind), hosting events that will mostly please rock fans. The Twist Connection (fb page) will be performing, a Portuguese band whose members look just like the bad guys you see in the movies. But don’t worry, they will just make you move around and dance.

And after recharging your batteries at Jardim das Virtudes, you will definitely be ready to go party. And when in doubt, just go to Plano B, it’s guaranteed you will have a good time.
After going down the stairs, you will discover different dance floors, each one oriented to different music genres. Look for the one with the trippy cube on the wall, that’s where Nightshift will take place every thursday, with their resident DJ’s Gusta-vo (fb page), PIXEL82 (fb page), Phillips & Justamine, Serginho, Sinhinho and different guests that will change each week.

There’s another good reason for you to go to Campanhã besides to get the train to visit our lovely country. It’s for you to get to know Woodstock 69, one of the coolest clubs in Porto with some of the best rock/stoner/alternative live performances in the city.
If you are into the heavy stuff, on the 7th, Woodstock will host Primavera Negra (Dark Spring). Khmer (fb page), Kagada and Underground Morto (fb page) will be performing.
Also in June, Øresund Space Collecive (fb page) and Talea Jacta (fb page) will fill the place with their progressive and space rock sounds.
Open House Porto

Where: Casa da Arquitetura, Porto, Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gaia
Open House Porto, an event organized and produced by Casa da Arquitetura, is coming back for its fourth edition. For a weekend, you are invited to visit a total of 65 spaces in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Matosinhos, that all differ in typology and year of construction. You can create your own route, choosing which ones you would like to visit. Apart from that, there are also a set of free activities that will take place at some of the sights, as part of Programa Caleidoscópio. For more information visit the event’s website (here).
